Babylonia areolata, common name the “Areola Babylon” or “Spotted Babylon”, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk, in the family Babyloniidae.
NOTE: A commercially valuable marine mollusk widely cultured in Southeast Asia. Distinct differences in the morphology of the shells from wild and cultured habitats [Biology 2025, 14(1), 39].
