Nerita antiquata (Récluz, 1841), common name the “ancient nerite”, is a species of sea snail known as the “nerites”, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Neritidae.  Some people believe that it is a subspecies or forma of Nerita polita (Linnaeus, 1758).
